About CRANK Indoor Climbing
CRANK Indoor Climbing fills a warehouse at the rear of 537 Kessels Road in Macgregor with roped walls, bouldering and a Ninja Warrior course. The sport-climbing walls stand 8 to 12 metres tall and carry more than 100 routes, from low-angle slab on the Green wall to a steep roof on the Blue wall. Bouldering runs for 60 metres at heights up to 4 metres above deep matting, and auto-belays let beginners climb without a rope partner. Anyone 14 or older can learn to belay a friend, and fresh climbs are set three times a week. Younger climbers have their own kids wall fitted with six auto-belays. Groups of ten or more book ahead and receive harness and shoe hire, safety training and two hours of climbing and ninja access, with an instructor on hand. Kids' birthday parties on weekends combine the obstacle course with climbing, then finish with cake in the party area, and work groups can ask about a team building session. Send an enquiry with your date and numbers, and mention any speakers or guests you would like to build into the day.

Frequently asked questions
What does a group booking cost?
Standard group bookings are $28 per person for ten or more climbers aged 14 and over, covering harness and shoe hire, safety training and two hours on the walls and ninja course. An instructor-facilitated option for over-16s is $55 per person.
How do the kids' birthday parties run?
Parties last two hours on Saturdays and Sundays. After a short welcome, children tackle the Ninja Warrior course and then the bouldering and climbing walls with a host, before 30 minutes of cake and celebrations in the party area.
What ages can take part?
Kids' parties start at age six, and six-year-olds may need a parent to help. Standard group bookings are for climbers aged 14 and over, and anyone under 14 needs someone else to belay for them.
How many guests can a kids' party take?
Reservations suit groups of about 8 to 40 children, and the centre can cater for up to 80. Groups of fewer than ten can simply walk in, but parties and groups of ten or more need to book.
Can we hire the whole centre?
Yes, large groups can book the entire centre after hours on Sunday evenings between 6pm and 9pm. Pricing is by quote, so send an enquiry with your numbers and plans.
