About Riverlife Adventure Centre
Riverlife Adventure Centre runs outdoor adventures from the heritage Naval Stores building on the Brisbane River at Kangaroo Point. The main draw is abseiling the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, along with guided rock climbing and kayak tours on the river. An abseil starts at the top of the cliffs, where the group takes in the city view before stepping over a drop of about 20 metres. Qualified guides run a safety briefing, handle the rope from above and talk each person down, so first-timers and nervous starters are well looked after. Private group packages suit six or more people and can run at any time within opening hours. The group gets its own instructor and can choose abseiling, rock climbing or kayaking, or combine two activities in one outing. After the activity, groups of eight or more can add grazing boards with two drinks each, and groups of 20 or more can book a catered BBQ buffet by the water. Giant Jenga and archery keep spectators busy while others take their turn. For work teams there is a two-hour guided team-building adventure, with optional breakfast, lunch or drinks afterwards. The team can tackle one activity together or split into smaller groups. Abseilers must be at least eight, and anyone aged 8 to 16 needs an adult present. Send an enquiry with your group size, date and preferred activity for a tailored quote.

The day abseil is $85 per person and runs for 90 minutes on Wednesdays and Fridays. The twilight abseil is $109 per person on Fridays and Saturdays. Private group packages are priced to suit the group, so send an enquiry for a quote.
How many people do we need for a private group booking?

Is there a minimum age or weight limit?
Abseiling and rock climbing are for ages 8 and up. Children aged 8 to 16 need an adult with them for the abseil, though that adult does not have to take part. The maximum weight for abseiling is 120 kg.
What should we wear?
Wear activewear or other clothes that move easily, plus enclosed shoes. Dresses and skirts are not suitable for the harness. Showers and change rooms are on site, and lockers can be hired for bags.
Can we eat and drink at Riverlife after the activity?
Yes. Groups of eight or more can add grazing boards with two post-adventure drinks each, with soft drinks or juice for under-18s. Groups of 20 or more can book a catered BBQ buffet with vegetarian options, and dietary needs can be accommodated.
