About Soldiers Point Bowling Club

Soldiers Point Bowling Club sits on Soldiers Point Road on the Port Stephens peninsula, with its own bowling greens, Taylor's Bistro and a coffee shop. A courtesy bus runs from late afternoon each day, which helps guests get home after an evening function. Functions run across two rooms and a stylish foyer. Seascapes, the middle-sized of the two, takes up to 100 in theatre rows and has its own bar and a dance floor. The Auditorium is a tall room built around a big raised stage, and the Main Lounge next door opens it up for big banquet dinners. The club caters for functions of 20 to 400 guests. Seated functions of more than 100 in the Auditorium, or more than 60 in Seascapes, pay no room hire. The set Functions Menu in Seascapes needs at least 40 guests, while finger food platters have no minimum. The kitchen offers alternate-serve dinners of two or three courses, canapés on arrival for half an hour or an hour, and shared cheese or antipasto platters. A customised menu or cocktail-style menu can be arranged, and Christmas menus come as plated or buffet options. Both rooms have audiovisual gear including a projector, screen and lectern, and Seascapes adds cordless microphones. You can hire the club's jukebox or bring in a DJ for dancing. Birthdays for guests turning 18 to 29 are not taken.
