About Impossible Occurrences
Impossible Occurrences is the show of Melbourne magician Luke Hocking, who has performed a weekly theatre show of magic, illusion and mind reading in the CBD and has appeared on Australia's Got Talent. Away from his own stage, Luke is available to hire for private parties, weddings and corporate events. For cocktail parties, dinners and networking functions he works as a roving close-up magician, moving between small groups and performing card tricks and sleight of hand right in front of guests. It is a natural ice-breaker that gets people talking to one another. Larger functions can book a stage show, mixing illusions, comedy and audience participation. Corporate clients can have the routine shaped around a company theme, campaign or brand message, and Luke slots into the running order of product launches, conferences, gala dinners and end-of-year parties. Family celebrations and children's birthdays get an age-appropriate show built on interactive tricks and humour, where every child receives a balloon animal and the birthday child gets a special moment in the act. For adult audiences the material leans towards mentalism and more intricate sleight of hand. Send an enquiry with your date, venue and guest numbers to discuss the style of performance that suits your event.

Frequently asked questions
What kinds of performance can I book?
Luke offers roving close-up magic that moves between guests, a stage show of illusions with audience participation, a family and kids' magic show, and corporate performances shaped around a company's theme or message.
Is the magic suitable for children?
Yes. The family and kids' show is age-appropriate, mixing interactive tricks with comedy. Each child receives a balloon animal and the birthday child is given a special part in the show.
Can the act be tailored to a corporate event?
Corporate performances can be built around your company's identity, values or campaign, and Luke fits into the program of product launches, conferences, gala dinners and end-of-year celebrations.
Does Luke perform mind reading?
Yes. Alongside sleight of hand and illusion, his act includes mentalism and mind reading, which tends to work especially well for adult audiences at dinners and cocktail functions.
How much does it cost to hire Luke?
Private and corporate bookings are quoted individually and no hire price is published. Send an enquiry with your date, venue, guest numbers and the style of performance you would like for a quote.

Absolutely fantastic show highly recommended. We went as a family of six and the adults had just as much fun as the children. Could not recommend this enough. Thank you Luke
