About Event Management by Alex
Event Management by Alex is the planning business of Alexandra Morosan, who worked in hotel and venue event teams for more than twelve years before going out on her own. She is diploma-qualified in wedding styling and planning, and she plans weddings, private celebrations and corporate events around Melbourne. The most booked service is on-the-day coordination. Couples who have planned the wedding themselves hand everything over about six weeks before, and Alex writes the schedule, meets and directs each supplier and oversees the venue set-up. Full planning goes further, covering budget tracking, venue and supplier bookings, a styling theme and the whole day itself. Her Just Because service is for smaller gatherings, such as a 50th, an engagement, an anniversary or a dinner for no reason at all. She sets the concept and menu direction, books the caterer and service staff, styles the table and runs the evening, whether it is at home or in a private dining room. For businesses, she plans product launches, grand openings, galas, conference dinners and Christmas parties. Because she has drafted venue contracts herself, she reviews proposals and supplier terms before anything is signed. Design and styling can be booked on its own, from the first site visit and mood board through to installing the room and packing it down. Just Because celebrations start at $1,500, design and styling and corporate events start at $2,500, and full wedding planning is quoted. A Power Hour consultation costs $280 for its opening two hours, with each later hour at $150.

What does on-the-day coordination include?
A handover consultation, unlimited contact in the lead-up, a written schedule for the day, meeting and directing every supplier, and oversight of the venue set-up before guests arrive. Planning, styling and supplier sourcing are not part of it.
Does Alex plan parties as well as weddings?
Yes. Her Just Because service covers birthdays, milestone dinners, engagements and anniversaries, with the venue or your home, caterer, staff, table styling and the running of the night all arranged.
Which corporate events does she plan?
Product launches, grand openings, galas, lunches, conference dinners, cocktail receptions, after-parties and Christmas parties, as well as styled brand shoots and activations.
How much does full wedding planning cost?
Full planning is quoted after a free conversation, because every wedding differs in size. It includes budget tracking, venue and supplier bookings, styling and full coordination on the day.
Can I just get advice instead of a full package?
Yes. A Power Hour is a Zoom session where Alex reviews your plans and sends written next steps. The first booking is two hours for $280, and later sessions are $150 per hour.
