About Tony Gee Wedding Celebrant
Tony Gee is a Melbourne civil marriage celebrant who has married more than 300 couples. His ceremonies mix the couple's story with light humour, and he is happy to write anything from a short legal ceremony to a long, themed or culturally blended one. He is a strong supporter of marriage equality and conducted same-sex commitment ceremonies before those marriages became legal. Tony is fluent in English and speaks Mandarin and Cantonese conversationally, and one package runs the whole ceremony in Chinese so relatives from overseas can follow every word. Every package starts with a free one-hour meeting in person. From there he writes and delivers the ceremony, handles and lodges the legal paperwork, and stays in contact by phone and email as often as needed. Couples who are marrying from overseas can ask him for visa letters and witnesses at no extra cost. On the day he arrives early, dressed to suit the setting, and brings a wireless PA with a handheld and a headset microphone, which matters at weddings of 50 or more guests. Higher packages add an on-site rehearsal and a printed keepsake book of the ceremony. The top package pairs the ceremony with MC duties at the reception, including help with the run sheet. A 50% deposit secures the date, and the balance is due a week before the wedding.
