About Spec Ops Paintball
Spec Ops Paintball is an indoor tactical arena in North Ipswich, set up and run by a former Australian Special Forces commando who designed the game modes around real tactical principles. Games are built around missions with clear objectives, and the modular field layout is changed regularly so return visits feel different. Paintball here uses Reball, reusable rubber rounds that fire from standard markers without any paint, so there is no clean-up and no limit on shots. Players must be 15 or older, and each booking runs about three to three and a half hours including check-in, gear fitting and a safety briefing. Gel ball suits players from 12, and Nerf battles take kids from six, so mixed-age groups can play at the same time in different formats. Groups come for bucks and hens parties, birthdays, corporate events and team building, and larger groups can ask about custom packages or exclusive use of the arena. Kids' birthday packages include gameplay, games room access, a snack box for each player and a party table, with families bringing their own cake. Spectators can watch from a viewing area, there is plenty of parking, and you can send an enquiry to book.

Frequently asked questions
How much does paintball cost?
The Recruit package is $100 a person and includes a basic mask, marker, flight suit and unlimited Reball rounds. The Commando package is $120 and adds an anti-fog mask, electronic hopper, plate carrier, neck protector and gloves.
What ages can play?
Paintball is for players aged 15 and over, with photo ID required. Gel ball starts at 12 and Nerf battles at six. For players under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver and attend check-in.
What is included in a kids' birthday party?
Nerf parties are $49 a player with a minimum of 10, and gel ball parties are $75 a player with a minimum of eight. Both include about 80 minutes of gameplay, 40 minutes of games room access, a snack box each, cake service and a party table.
What should we wear?
Wear comfortable clothes and enclosed shoes. Paintball packages include a flight suit, and for gel ball, long sleeves and long pants are recommended. All gameplay and safety gear is supplied.
Can bad weather cancel our booking?
The whole arena is indoors, so games go ahead in rain, heat or storms. Only severe weather that makes travel unsafe would prompt a conversation about moving the date.
