About Moments by Jono
Moments by Jono is the hosting business of Jonathan Uptin, a Brisbane MC and event presenter who spent over three decades in live broadcast television. That background – news bulletins, live sport and coverage where nothing could be retaken – shapes how he runs a room: steady, well prepared and quick to adjust when plans change. As an MC he takes charge of the program itself. Expect careful scripting, a firm grip on the run sheet, clear introductions and sponsor thank-yous, and the judgement to lift the pace or slow it down depending on how the audience is responding. He researches each event and shapes the presentation around the client and the guests. The events he hosts include corporate functions, conferences, presentation nights, gala dinners, charity fundraisers, formal presentations, community celebrations and government or civic functions, and he also moderates panels. For corporate and charity golf days he offers a fuller package: opening welcomes, sponsor integration, roaming interviews out on the course, the presentation at the end and short social-ready content captured on the day. Jono also presents live interview-style storytelling shows with guest speakers, which organisers can bring into a conference or dinner. To check his availability for your date, send an enquiry with the event type, date and a few details about what you are planning.
