About QiBear Balloon Twisting
QiBear Balloon Twisting is a balloon artist based in Drewvale, on Brisbane's southside, who comes to children's birthday parties and turns plain balloons into characters while the kids watch. Children line up, ask for what they want and usually have it in their hands in less than a minute. The repertoire goes well past the classic dog: superheroes, princess crowns, swords, flowers, puppies and popular cartoon characters, from Paw Patrol to Hello Kitty. Tell QiBear your child's theme and party colours beforehand and the designs are matched to suit, with requests taken from the queue on the day. Bookings are simple. Pick a package by headcount – one hour for around 10 children, two hours for around 20, or three hours for around 30 – and every balloon is included, so the artist keeps twisting for the whole session and no child misses out. Getting set up and packing away are included in the time, and only a small table and roughly two metres square of shaded space are needed, indoors or out. There is no travel charge inside a 15 km radius of Drewvale, which covers Sunnybank, Calamvale, Runcorn, Mount Gravatt and much of central Logan. Longer trips to the CBD, the northside and the Redcliffe peninsula carry a small travel fee, confirmed before you book. QiBear also twists at school fetes and community days, and makes balloon bouquets and party decorations on request.

How many children can QiBear look after?
Roughly speaking, one hour covers around 10 children, two hours around 20 and three hours about 30. If the kids want detailed characters, it is worth choosing the next package up.
Are balloons charged on top of the package?
No. Balloons, pumps and materials are all included, and there is no per-balloon charge – the artist keeps making creations for the length of the booking.
What space does the balloon artist need?
Just a small table and an area of about two metres by two metres, indoors or outdoors. Pick a flat, shady spot for the queue, and on a wet day a covered patio or marquee is needed.
Is there a travel fee?
No travel fee applies inside a 15 km radius of Drewvale. Between 15 and 40 km there is a $30 fee, and trips further out, such as Redcliffe, are quoted when you enquire.
Can the balloons match our party theme?
Yes. Pass on the party colours and which characters your child is keen on – superheroes, princesses to Pokemon and Hello Kitty, and the designs will be tailored to the party.
