About The Hastings
The Hastings is the clubhouse bar and restaurant at Bowral Golf Club, on the corner of Kangaloon Road and David Street in Bowral. It takes its name from Hastings Clark, who served as the club's golf professional for around five decades, and its windows and deck look out across the fairways. Events are spread across several rooms. The Dining Room holds up to 80 guests at tables or more than 100 for a cocktail party, with the adjoining deck open to the group. It can also be partitioned into a semi-private area for 20 to 60 people. The Main Bar seats 45 or holds 70 standing in a semi-private setting close to the heart of the venue. For something smaller, the Board Room doubles as a private dining room for 8 to 12, served with a shared menu from the kitchen. Food is shaped around the style of the event: canapés and sharing platters for a mingling crowd, or a seated banquet or alternate-drop menu for lunches and dinners. The chef also prepares a Christmas menu for festive functions on request. Drinks can run as a beverage package or a bar tab, and for corporate gatherings and wedding-weekend lunches guests can also buy their own. Optional extras cover welcome drinks as guests arrive, cocktail and champagne towers, magnum bottles and an arch selfie mirror. The events team looks after birthdays, engagement parties, Christmas parties, anniversaries, corporate lunches, and welcome drinks or recovery lunches around a wedding.
