About Links House
Links House opened in 1928 as a country guesthouse on Links Road in Bowral and still runs as a small hotel, across the road from the golf course and a short walk from the town. Its rose garden, secluded courtyards and lawn give events plenty of room to spill outdoors. The hotel takes celebrations of many sizes, from cocktail gatherings to full banquets. It names weddings, receptions, milestone birthdays and anniversaries among them, and receptions can run from 5 to 60 guests. For functions, the house fits up to 40 seated or 60 standing. Ethos, the in-house restaurant, the private dining room, the sitting room with its open fire and the leafy courtyard can all be set up for an event, and the Dawson Room, between the garden and a courtyard, handles meetings. Every meal comes from Ethos, whose kitchen leans on local, ethical and sustainable produce. Options run from country breakfasts and morning teas to seasonal lunches, à la carte dinners, grazing tables, picnic hampers and bar menus. The hotel is fully licensed, with a wine list plus other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and guests often gather in the Leslie Lounge before a meal. For a private event the whole property can be reserved, with 17 rooms to put up the wedding party or a work team. Conferences and retreats are offered too, for up to 40 on a day program or around 20 staying overnight, with breakout space across the lounges, lawn and courtyards.
