About The Bundanoon Guest House
The Bundanoon Guest House is a heritage guest house on Railway Avenue in Bundanoon, built in 1925 and run by hosts Tim and Lucie Phillips. It sits less than a kilometre from the village centre, close to the edge of Morton National Park. The house has 14 guest rooms, each with its own ensuite, plus a two-bedroom cottage at the back, sleeping up to 36 people in all. Groups can take a few rooms or book the whole house, which gives them sole use of every lounge, the bar, the dining rooms and the garden. Shared spaces include a sunny guest lounge with a gas fire, a sitting room with an open fire, a games and conference room with a large snooker table, a big dining room and a private dining room for up to 12. A front verandah looks onto a cool-climate garden broken into quiet garden rooms. Meals come from the house chef and a full commercial kitchen. Groups of 20 or more can book evening meals, with set menus from $85 per person, and the kitchen also covers breakfast, morning and afternoon tea and lunch for groups staying over. The licensed bar stocks local wines, gin and whisky from a nearby distillery and craft beer, and drinks packages can be shaped around your group. The house hosts milestone birthdays, family and school reunions, weddings and small corporate conferences, and a hosted murder mystery dinner can be added to a stay. For conferences, the dedicated room comes with heating and cooling, Wi-Fi, a big Smart TV with HDMI, whiteboards and flipcharts, arranged boardroom style or with casual seating around the walls. Frequently asked questions
How many guests can the Bundanoon Guest House accommodate?
The house sleeps up to 36 people across 14 ensuite rooms and a two-bedroom cottage. Conference stays suit groups of up to 14 delegates, each with a private room, and the private dining room seats up to 12.
What do group dinners cost?
The Indian feast set menu is $85 per person for a minimum of 25 guests. The group set menu, with a choice of one entrée, one main and one dessert, is $95 per person for at least 20 guests. A deposit of $40 per person applies to group dinners of 10 or more.
Can we book the whole house for our group?
Yes. A whole-of-house booking covers every guest room, with or without the cottage, so no other guests stay during your visit and your group has all the common areas to itself. A deposit of $100 per room confirms the reservation.
Is there a bar, and can we arrange a drinks package?
The house has a fully licensed bar beside the games room, guest lounge and dining room, with local wines, gin, whisky and craft beers alongside Australian and imported labels. Drinks packages can be tailored to your group, and bar charges go on the final invoice.
Can the kitchen cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. The chef shapes menus around the group's tastes, dietary needs and allergies, and gluten-free and dairy-free breakfast options are available on request.
