About Sunset+Vine
Sunset+Vine is the restaurant and cellar door at Wonganella Estate, on Nelson Bay Road at Bobs Farm. It sits up the hill from the road, overlooking the estate's vineyard and Tilligerry Creek beyond. The grounds take in coastal bushland, grape vines and lawns, and the venue offers five named settings. Couples and event hosts can choose the Rainforest Ceremony area, the Hilltop Balcony, the Wonganella Vines, the Sunset Deck or the Barrel Room. The Barrel Room is the main indoor space, with its own bar, private booths and a plain fit-out that hosts can style as they like. For a seated event the venue holds up to 120 guests, rising to 160 for a cocktail-style format. Day to day, the kitchen serves a mezze menu with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours, plus house-made desserts and tastings of the estate's wines. For events and functions, the team offers on-site catering drawn from the house menu along with Aussie favourites. Weddings run on a self-catering model, where couples bring in their own licensed caterer and the venue supplies cutlery, crockery, napery and glassware. Drinks come through five-hour packages built around Wonganella wines, and a bar tab is also possible. Only one wedding is held at a time, giving that booking the venue to itself. A recommended vendor list covers sound, lighting, entertainment and DJs, and a junior suite on the grounds can sleep two guests.

Food was beyond belief! Would unreservedly recommend to anybody. Wine was also top notch, ended up bringing a few bottles home. They made it easy to go with a kid in a highchair as well.
