Aardy's Jumping Castles has been hiring inflatables from Melbourne's south-east since 2000. The range runs from small castles for toddlers to combos with slides and a full inflatable obstacle course. The smaller units suit tight spaces. The Paardy party castle measures 3.6 by 3.6 metres, the dinosaur castle has its own little slide, and the low jungle castle stands 2.7 metres high with a shade cover, so it fits indoors, in a garage or under a big pergola. For older children there are combo castles themed as a unicorn, a barn, a bobcat loader, a carnival fun house and more, plus a jungle obstacle course. Larger centrepieces, such as a 10 by 10 metre dinosaur adventure, need drive-up access and two power points. Each hire covers up to six hours, delivery and set-up, a sun or rain cover and public liability insurance. The crew pegs castles into grass or uses heavy weights on hard surfaces, lays safety mats at the front and uses tested and tagged electrical gear. Supervision can be added to any castle for $50 an hour, and generators are available at extra cost. Deposits are needed to lock in a date and are generally non-refundable, so send an enquiry with the date and address for a price for your area.
