About Kat Flowers & Events
Kat Flowers & Events is a florist based in Huntingdale, near Oakleigh, run by Anna and her team, who bring more than 25 years in the wedding industry. Alongside everyday flower delivery, the business designs flowers for weddings and events and hires out a large range of styling props. For weddings it creates bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, buttonholes, corsages, flower crowns and cake toppers, plus church and ceremony decoration, aisle flowers, table centrepieces and floral ceiling pieces above the bridal table. Blooms can be fresh and in season, silk, or a blend of both, and the team can also style the room where the bride gets ready. Three set packages range from bouquets and a basic flower wall up to bouquets, a flower wall, silk centrepieces, bridal table florals, a welcome sign, a seating chart and a candy cart, with delivery, set-up and pick-up included. The silk flower walls are free-standing and hand-made, sold in panels about 2.2 metres high in five standard sizes, with custom colours and shapes on request. They appear at birthdays, engagements, baby showers, corporate functions and photo areas. Other props for hire include flower arches in several frame styles, styled balloon garlands, a white candy cart, cane peacock chairs, French vintage tables and a chaise, chair covers and sashes, and table runners. Do you use fresh or silk flowers for weddings?
Both. Bouquets, buttonholes and ceremony flowers can use fresh blooms in season, silk, or both together. The flower walls and package centrepieces are silk, while bouquets in the packages are fresh.
What is included in the wedding packages?
The Standard package covers bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, buttonholes, corsages, a throwaway bouquet and a basic flower wall. Larger packages add silk centrepieces, bridal table florals, signage, a seating chart and delivery, set-up and pick-up.
How big are the flower walls?
Walls are built from free-standing panels roughly 2.2 metres high and come in five standard sizes, plus custom sizes and colour schemes made to order for your event.
Can you decorate the whole reception?
Yes. The team provides centrepieces, bridal table flowers, floral ceiling pieces, chair covers and sashes, table runners and skirting, and can organise set-up of ceremony and reception decor.
Do you deliver props and flowers across Melbourne?
Flower walls, peacock chairs and the candy cart are delivered Melbourne-wide, and chairs and the cart can also be picked up for overnight hire. Wedding packages include delivery, set-up and collection.
