Wedding and Party Hire is a Brisbane decor and furniture hire business with a showroom on Enterprise Street in Salisbury. It was founded by sisters Nicole Ritchie and Justine Douglas, began as an online wedding decor store, and later added event styling and do-it-yourself hire. The range is built for hosts who want to dress their own venue. It includes chairs and stools, chair covers, table linen, vases, candelabras, tealight holders, mirrors, faux florals, umbrellas, aisle runners and ceremony arches with draping. The online lookbook shows finished table and ceremony set-ups and lists the products needed to copy each one. The catalogue is grouped by occasion, with collections for weddings, corporate events, birthdays, proposals, baby showers and gender reveals, special events and popular themes. For couples and organisers who would rather hand over the styling, the team also offers a styling service, and a consultation can be booked through the contact form. Items go back to the showroom in the condition they left, and the terms explain how to care for chairs, linen, vases and candelabras. Is Wedding and Party Hire a DIY hire service?
Yes. Most of the range is hired for hosts to set up themselves, and the lookbook lists the pieces needed to recreate each styled set-up. A styling service is also offered for those who want help.
What occasions does the range cover?
The catalogue has collections for weddings, corporate events, birthdays, proposals, baby showers and gender reveals, special events and themed parties.
What deposit is needed and what if I cancel?
The initial order deposit of $100 is non-refundable. Cancelling with eight weeks' notice attracts a $75 fee per order, or 25% for orders over $300, and refunds inside 28 days of the hire date are at management's discretion.
How should hired chairs and linen be returned?
Chairs should be wiped down if they get muddy or wet, and linen should be shaken free of food and not left folded while damp. Cleaning fees apply to items returned dirty.
Can real candles be used with the candelabras?
No. The candelabras are only for LED tealights or taper candles, as wax drips damage them. Real wax tealights are fine in the tealight holders if the burnt candles are removed.
