About Abbey Rents Party Hire
Abbey Rents Party Hire is a family-run hire business that has supplied Brisbane functions for more than fifty years under just two owners. It has always been based in Logan and works from a warehouse in Underwood, south of the city. The range is broad. There are chairs, tables and trestles, freestanding and peg and pole marquees with silk lining and marquee lighting, linen tablecloths, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Catering gear includes hot food warmers, bain maries, coldrooms and eskies, and the team can arrange bar and wait staff so hosts can enjoy their own event. For styling, it hires illuminated 1.2m letters and numbers in warm white and flower walls, with delivery, set-up and removal included. Furniture can be browsed by style, including barrel and pallet pieces and casual, formal, rustic, party and wedding looks. Hire is generous on timing. A weekend function is priced as one hire, with gear delivered on Friday and collected on Monday, while midweek hires run over three days. Delivery covers Brisbane suburbs and Logan, and orders can also be collected from the Underwood warehouse with your own vehicle or trailer. Frequently asked questions
How long do I get the hire equipment for?
Midweek hires run over three days, so gear arrives the day before and goes back the day after. A Friday, Saturday or Sunday function is charged as one hire, with delivery on Friday and return on Monday.
Can I collect the order myself?
Yes. Weekend orders can be picked up from the Underwood warehouse on Thursday or Friday between 10am and 2pm, and a bond applies. Bring enough helpers, straps and a suitable vehicle or trailer.
What deposit and bond apply?
A 30% deposit is due within three days of booking, with the balance 20 days before delivery or pick-up. A bond is added for pick-ups, breakables and linen, and it is refunded once everything comes back clean and undamaged.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
Not if the order is prepaid and the crew can reach a secure spot to leave the equipment. Deliveries are grouped by area to keep fees down, and a text message gives the timing beforehand.
Does the hire need cleaning before return?
Crockery, cutlery and glassware should be rinsed, dried and packed back in their crates, or a cleaning fee applies. Washing of linen and chair covers is included, but they should come back dry and free of food.
