About Mike Tyler Magic
Mike Tyler is a full-time comedy magician and mentalist based in Brisbane. His act blends sleight of hand, mind trickery, personality and humour, and he steers clear of the old-fashioned magic clichés in favour of a modern style. Before settling back in Brisbane he toured widely overseas, performed in theatre seasons and comedy festivals, and appeared on television in several countries. He is booked by companies, sporting teams, government bodies and charities for their functions. The feature show combines magic, mentalism and comedy, and is usually performed from a stage or platform for a larger seated audience. Because it is shaped around each event and crowd, it can be pitched to suit a conference dinner, a gala night or a client function. For cocktail-style events, Mike works the room with roving magic for small groups at a time. Expect tricks with cards, coins, rings, napkins, money and fire, plus effects with borrowed items such as a guest's phone – some of them happening in the audience's own hands. He also performs a comedy hypnosis show for seated audiences of more than 100, with a minimum length of 60 minutes. Mike holds a Blue Card and full insurance.
