About Trevena Glen Farm

Trevena Glen Farm is a family-run animal farm on Winn Road in Mount Samson. Horses, alpacas, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits and guinea pigs are among the twelve kinds of animals here, and every visit is booked ahead with a guide. For adults, Wine and Ride is a Saturday sunset outing for riders aged 18 and over. A head coach demonstrates horse behaviour, then each guest grooms and leads their own horse before riding in the arena and along a trail around the farm. Afterwards comes a social hour with a wine and cheese platter, board games or pool, and riding always finishes before anyone has a drink. Children's birthday parties suit a minimum of six kids and run for at least two hours in a private area. The base package covers animal handling and feeding plus invitations, and one adult per child comes free. Extras include a tractor hayride, led pony rides, an alpaca visit, the mini train and a jumping castle. There are four party spaces. The Party Barn sits inside the stables, the Party Garden holds up to 100, the Pony Parlour is a painted old milk shed and the Room with a View is an air-conditioned room above the cafe. Workplaces bring groups of 50 to 500 for end-of-year farm days. Send an enquiry with your date and numbers.

Frequently asked questions

Who can take part in Wine and Ride?

It is an adults-only experience, and every guest shows ID when booking and on arrival. Beginners and experienced riders are both catered for. Wear enclosed shoes, ideally boots with a small heel, and helmets are supplied.

How many children do we need for a birthday party?

Farm parties are for at least six children. The cost is set by the number of children, and it drops per child as numbers rise. One adult per child booked comes in free.

Which party space should we choose?

The Party Garden takes up to 100 and is the only space with the jumping castle. The Room with a View holds 40, the Party Barn 30 and suits ages 7 and up, and the Pony Parlour takes 25.

Can a large work group visit?

Yes. Corporate events cater for 50 to 500 people, with a dedicated area of the farm for at least three hours, animal encounters, tractor trailer rides, pony rides and grooming, the mini train and cafe coffee.

What should we bring on the day?

Bring a hat, sunscreen and drinking water, as the farm runs on rainwater and does not supply it free. Closed shoes are needed for all the walking, and a raincoat is handy. The cafe sells drinks, snacks and some hot food.
