About G'day Adventure Tours

G'day Adventure Tours is a locally owned guiding business on Bribie Island, founded by Jason, who grew up on the island. Its tours use the operator's own 4WD vehicles to reach the parts of Bribie that need a permit and off-road skills. The shortest outing is the 4WD Beach and Bunker Tour, which runs for about three hours from a meeting point in Woorim. The route covers a drive up Ocean Beach, a look through the wartime bunkers at Fort Bribie, a stop at the tea-tree lagoons and time to spot wildlife, with water and snacks supplied. Longer options add more time on the island. One combines the 4WD route with a lagoon kayak, another heads inland on bush tracks to Poverty Creek with a picnic lunch, and a seafood-focused tour pairs kayaking with a lunch on the beach. A full-day trip collects guests in Fortitude Valley or Brisbane City and includes morning tea and kayaking gear. Kangaroos, wallabies, goannas and sea eagles are regular sightings across the tours. For groups, private charters reserve the vehicle and guide for your party alone. The site lists corporate teams, team-building days, birthdays and anniversaries among the groups it hosts, and itineraries can be customised. Frequently asked questions

Where do the tours meet?

The shorter 4WD tours meet at 140 North Street in Woorim on Bribie Island. The full-day trip includes pick-up in Brisbane, from Gipps Street in Fortitude Valley or Roma Street in Brisbane City.

Do we need our own 4WD or a beach permit?

No. Guests ride in the operator's guided 4WD vehicles and the guide handles the beach driving, so nobody in the group needs their own 4WD, off-road experience or a vehicle access permit.

How much do the tours cost?

The 4WD Beach and Bunker Tour starts at $99 per person, the 4WD, kayak, beach and bunker tour at $139, the 4x4 Adventure Tour at $159, the seafood tour at $189 and the full day from Brisbane at $249. Private charters start at $1,290 per vehicle.

Can we book a private tour for a team or celebration?

Yes. Private tours give your group exclusive use of the vehicle, its own guide, flexible start times within tide limits and a custom itinerary. The site names corporate teams, team-building days, birthdays and anniversaries among the groups it hosts.

What should we bring on the day?

Wear comfortable clothes and footwear suited to sand and short walks, and bring sun protection, a hat, sunglasses, a water bottle and a camera. Swimwear is worth packing for the lagoon and kayak stops.

Great cruisey day out with Jason. Enjoyed his knowledge of Bribie and WW11 history of bunkers. Scenery was lovely and good mix of activities and time in bus. Would recommend this tour.
