About Soul Surf School
Soul Surf School is a locally owned surf school that founder Sean Riley started in Byron Bay in 2009. It works from a shop on Bay Street, across the road from Main Beach. Each morning the coaches pick from more than ten nearby beaches so beginners get small, easy waves in water around waist height. The corporate package is built for work groups of roughly 8 to 40 people visiting town for a conference or work trip, with a two- to four-hour session timed around your agenda. A surf bus collects everyone, boards and wetsuits are supplied, and a surf photographer can be added on request. Corporate sessions run with up to six surfers to every coach. Outside work groups, there are shared lessons for anyone aged 13 and up, multi-day progression packages of two to five days, private coaching and a small-group option for four or more friends or family. Children aged 7 to 12 have their own small-group lessons, every coach holds surf coaching and lifesaving qualifications, and you can send an enquiry to book a corporate day or a group lesson.
