About Art & Wine Co. Byron Bay
Art & Wine Co. Byron Bay is a creative studio inside Haven Gallery on Jonson Street, set up around art, wine and live music. The open-plan room covers about 85 square metres, with long art tables, pendant lighting, rotating works by local artists and a private covered balcony looking over town. Private events are the main draw for groups. Birthday crews, hens parties and corporate teams take over the studio, pick a painting to work on and bring their own drinks while an instructor guides them through it. Hens groups can swap painting for ceramics or life drawing, and corporate sessions can work a company logo or name into the artwork. Grazing boards from Byron Bay Deli can be added, or you can arrange your own catering, and a hosted wine tasting with sommeliers from Luna Wine Store is available on request. Kids are catered for too. Children's birthday parties are run by one of the studio's art instructors, and the studio also teaches after-school and school holiday art classes. The space can be hired outright for other functions, with seating for 36 at the art tables, bar stools on the balcony, a projector and kitchen facilities on the same level. Send an enquiry to book a private session.

Frequently asked questions
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes. Private events are BYO, so bring your choice of wine or other drinks. The studio is an approved location for an event liquor licence, and a sommelier-hosted wine tasting can be added to your event.
What food is available for a private event?
The studio partners with Byron Bay Deli for grazing boards, including an antipasto plate at $30 a head and a seasonal fruit platter. You are also welcome to bring your own food or organise your own caterer.
What can a hens party create?
Hens groups choose between a guided painting, a ceramics session or life drawing, and the studio team looks after the running of the session so the group can relax.
Do you host kids' birthday parties?
Yes. The studio runs kids' art parties led by one of its art instructors, who keeps the creative activity on track and handles the mess. Send an enquiry with your child's age and guest numbers.
How many people fit in the studio?
The 85 square metre studio has three long art tables seating 12 each and 40 art stools, plus 10 high bar stools on the covered balcony and couches and armchairs for lounging.

Mel was so amazing. Gave us a perfect demonstration and didn’t take up our date time in the process. My girlfriend and I definitely recommend!
