About Poppy & Fern
Poppy & Fern is a farmer florist working from a flower field and shop at The Farm in Ewingsdale, on the edge of Byron Bay. Founder Jess Connor began in floristry at fourteen, later studied horticulture and permaculture, and spent years designing wedding and event flowers from a home studio before the business settled at The Farm. Most of what goes into a bouquet is grown on site using natural methods, along with herbs and dried botanicals. When a variety is not in the field, the team buys from nearby growers and Australian farms that share the same approach. Designs are loose, abundant and textural, and the studio works without floral foam. For couples who want a simple process, there is a set wedding menu: choose your pieces, pick a seasonal colour palette and order, with no formal consultation. Around eight weeks before the day the team checks the details and logistics. Couples wanting arches, large installations or custom detail work can ask about the full-service option, which includes consultations and on-site styling. Delivery and set-up can be added to an order, covering up to two drop-offs, such as the bridal flowers in the morning and the ceremony or reception pieces later in the day, timed with your planner or venue. Personal flowers can also be collected from the shop. Send an enquiry to check your date.

Frequently asked questions
What is on the Poppy & Fern wedding menu and what does it cost?
The menu lists a bridal bouquet at $300 and a bridesmaid bouquet at $225, plus flower crowns at $120, buttonholes at $25 each, and table arrangements at $85 or $185, all including GST.
Can I choose the exact flowers for my wedding?
You choose a seasonal colour palette and the florists pick the freshest blooms in those tones. If one flower really matters to you they will try to include it, but the design is led by what is in season.
Do you deliver and set up on the wedding day?
Yes. Delivery and set-up can be added, covering up to two drop-off points such as your getting-ready location and the ceremony or reception venue, across Byron Bay, the hinterland, Bangalow, Lennox Head and Ballina.
Can you build a floral arch or a large installation?
Arches, large installations and custom pieces are handled through the full-service wedding option, which includes consultations, on-site styling and larger design work. Send an enquiry to discuss it.
How much notice do you need for wedding flowers?
Orders need at least 14 days' notice, and the team suggests ordering about 30 days ahead to lock in your palette. Many couples book three to twelve months out, and small changes can be made until two weeks before.
