About Ben Fox Band
Ben Fox Band is the wedding and function act led by singer and acoustic guitarist Ben Fox, who has over 20 years of professional work behind him. His Southern Highlands weddings include Bendooley Estate at Berrima, Centennial Vineyards and Peppers Craigieburn near Bowral, Mali Brae Farm at Moss Vale and The Bungalow Guest House at Fitzroy Falls. The idea is a single supplier for the whole day, so the sound stays consistent from the aisle to the final song. Guests arrive to live acoustic music, which carries on through the ceremony, canapés and dinner. Once the formalities finish, Ben switches to a DJ set, a live band or a mix of both, and when a band is booked he DJs through its breaks so the floor never goes quiet. The solo-plus-DJ package is the one most couples choose. Band line-ups run from a duo to a trio, quartet, quintet or bigger party band, with Ben on lead vocals and guitar every time. The DJ set can be extended with a sax player or a percussionist, and Ben can also MC for an extra fee. Requests are welcome, and Ben will learn a special song for the aisle, the register signing or the first dance. Each booking includes a PA of up to 5000 watts, lighting and wireless microphones for the speeches, with sound and lighting covered for functions under 200 guests. Battery powered speakers handle ceremony or canapé spots with no power, which suits an outdoor service on a Highlands property. Set-up starts roughly two hours ahead of the ceremony, and from there Ben works to your run sheet.

Frequently asked questions
Has Ben Fox played in the Southern Highlands before?
Yes. His reviews include weddings at Bendooley Estate and Berrima Retreat in Berrima, Centennial Vineyards and Peppers Craigieburn around Bowral, Mali Brae Farm at Moss Vale and The Bungalow Guest House at Fitzroy Falls.
Can one booking cover our whole wedding day?
Ben plays acoustic sets from the moment guests turn up, carrying on through the vows, canapés and dinner. For the reception he moves to DJing, a band or a mix of the two. With a band booked, he DJs through the breaks.
What band sizes are available?
You can book Ben alone on vocals and acoustic guitar or add players to make a duo, trio, quartet, quintet or bigger band. A standard trio brings in bass and drums, with Ben fronting every option.
What if our ceremony site has no power?
Battery powered speakers come along for ceremonies and canapé areas that have no power, which helps at garden or paddock ceremonies on a Highlands property. Mains-powered PA and lighting are used at the reception.
Can Ben also MC the reception?
Yes. MC services can be added to a booking for an additional cost, so the same person can run the formalities, sing and DJ. Ask for it when you send your enquiry.
