Lynda Leith Celebrant Services is run by Lynda Leith, an authorised marriage celebrant based in Robertson who works under the name Celebrate the Love. She describes herself as The I Do Specialist and puts her approach down to growing up with country hospitality – couples should feel welcomed and looked after from the first chat. Every ceremony is written from scratch. Couples complete a questionnaire, and Lynda builds the story, readings, vows and any rituals – handfasting, cultural traditions or a tribute to loved ones who have passed – into a ceremony that suits them. She can help with vows, includes children or pets if you wish, and books a single wedding on any given date. Couples can pick a signature wedding, an elopement or a short legal-only service. The legal-only ceremony suits couples planning a wedding overseas; it needs only the couple, two witnesses and Lynda, and takes around ten minutes. Lynda prepares and lodges every document, presents a commemorative certificate on the day, registers the marriage and posts the official certificate by registered mail. On the day she arrives around 40 minutes early, brings her own Bose sound system and works with your photographer and videographer on positioning. How much does a legal-only ceremony with Lynda cost?
Her published legal-only fees are a $300 booking fee plus a $600 solemnisation fee, so $900 in total. Having Lynda apply for the official certificate adds the $75 government fee.
What kinds of ceremonies does Lynda Leith offer couples?
Lynda runs three types: a signature wedding ceremony, an elopement, or a short legal-only service. Signature weddings and elopements are quoted, and each ceremony is written around the couple's own story.
Is a rehearsal included?
A rehearsal is not always needed – many couples are happy with a chat and Lynda's guidance on the day. For a legal-only booking, a rehearsal can be arranged for an extra $150.
Does Lynda charge for travel?
There is no travel charge for trips up to 250 km there and back from her home in Robertson. Beyond that, an extra $1 per kilometre applies, and any added costs are discussed before you confirm.
Can we include handfasting or cultural traditions?
Yes. Lynda can include handfasting, cultural or family traditions, special readings and tributes to loved ones who have passed away, working out together how each element fits.
