About Love Lisa Celebrant
Lisa is a civil marriage celebrant who brings her ceremonies to estates, farms and country houses across the Southern Highlands. She has married couples at Bendooley Estate in Berrima, and her venue notes take in Montrose House, Mali Brae Farm, Centennial Vineyards and Milton Park. Before celebrancy she worked as a nurse, which explains the steady, unhurried way she puts couples at ease. A full ceremony is shaped over three meetings: an obligation-free first chat, a second to go through the draft and lodge your Notice of Intended Marriage, and a final run-through at her home office or the venue. Along the way you can borrow from her store of verse, example vows, rituals and song ideas. On the day you receive a bound script and a printed keepsake certificate, while her PA system plays your music from a phone. For smaller plans, micro weddings suit guest lists of up to 20. A legals-only ceremony needs just the two of you plus two witnesses, and an elopement keeps things to a handful of close people. All four options include the legal paperwork and its lodgement. Lisa dresses to suit your wedding party and carries large-print copies of any readings for the guests delivering them. She suggests allowing 25 to 30 minutes and giving around three months' notice. How much notice does Lisa need?
Around three months is ideal. Your Notice of Intended Marriage has to be lodged with her at least one calendar month before the wedding, and no more than 18 months ahead.
How will our ceremony music be played?
Her PA system plugs into your phone, so your own songs can play. Ask a friend to look after the playlist, since she will be standing at the front with the two of you, or book live musicians if you prefer.
