About The Wedding Cinematographer
The Wedding Cinematographer is a group of trained wedding filmmakers based in Newcastle, led by head of cinematography Zac Heath. He came to weddings from surf and fashion shoots, so the films favour natural light, real unplanned moments and understated editing over corny soundtracks or heavy grading. Port Stephens beaches have featured in the team's journal more than once. Working alongside a photography team, the crew filmed Abbie and Matt's wedding in Shoal Bay, and later Georgia and Jason's beachside day there, where the drone footage was singled out as a highlight. On the day the cinematographers move quietly among the guests and send the drone up when the light suits. There are three main packages. Elopement and micro wedding films begin at $2,750 for one cinematographer across 3 to 4 hours, with a film of 2 to 3 minutes, drone and a social clip, while Essentials, the most popular choice, runs from $4,400 with two cinematographers over eight hours and a 3 to 4 minute film. Everything starts at $5,500, adding full-length ceremony and speech edits plus the complete set of social cuts. Genuine Super 8 film, extra hours and separate ceremony or speech edits can be added. Every booking starts with a planning catch-up, and the finished film is delivered on USB and online. The team films only and will suggest photographers it trusts, so send an enquiry with your Port Stephens date.
