About Bedroom Studio
Bedroom Studio is run by Chris and Casey, a married couple who shoot stills and wedding films; Chris heads the shooting team after more than 1,000 weddings, and Casey handles planning and questions. Their Port Stephens venue guide is written from behind the lens, covering Whitesands at Shoal Bay Country Club, Saltwater at Fingal Bay, The Anchorage, The Retreat near Anna Bay, Valhalla at Nelson Bay and Tanilba House. The name comes from the video business Chris began as a teenager in a studio flat. The coverage mixes relaxed documentary moments with more styled, editorial portraits, shot on digital and film cameras. Along this coast that might mean an afternoon ceremony on the Shoal Bay foreshore, or portraits among the vines at Sunset and Vine, Wonganella Estate, above Tilligerry Creek. You can book photography alone, a cinema package, or a combined booking where photographers and filmmakers work as one crew. Analogue extras set the studio apart: 35mm stills delivered as prints and scans, Super 8 film on a reel, and grainy camcorder video that looks like a family home movie. Full-day photo coverage returns upwards of 600 edited frames, delivered to a private gallery online. Each couple gets a production coordinator who helps build the timeline and talks to your wedding planner where there is one. Every card is recorded twice in dual-slot cameras, and files are backed up in several places until the final edits are delivered.
