Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

Soldiers Point is a residential point on the waters of Port Stephens. Soldiers Point Bowling Club hosts birthday functions on Soldiers Point Road, with bowling greens, a bistro and a coffee shop on site.

Points to know before booking a Soldiers Point birthday:

Age limits apply: the club does not take birthdays for guests turning 18 to 29.
Two rooms to choose from: Seascapes has its own bar and dance floor, and the Auditorium is built around a raised stage.
Set menus from $50 per person: two or three-course alternate-serve dinners, or canapés on arrival.
Finger food with no minimum: platters suit a smaller, casual gathering.
Getting home: a courtesy bus runs from late afternoon each day.

Seated functions of more than 60 in Seascapes pay no room hire, which helps a larger milestone party.

Hire the club jukebox for a night of requests.
Bring in a DJ if you'd rather someone else runs the music.
Cordless microphones in Seascapes make speeches easy.
A projector and screen in both rooms can run a photo slideshow.

Choosing the room for a milestone birthday

Seascapes, the middle-sized room, suits a mid-sized party with dancing.
The Auditorium suits a big birthday with speeches from the stage.
Opening the Main Lounge alongside the Auditorium makes room for a large banquet.
Cheese and antipasto platters can be shared around the tables.
