About 123 Photobooth
123 Photobooth is a Melbourne photo booth hire company that has worked more than 500 weddings, corporate functions and parties. Each booth runs on a Canon DSLR camera rather than a phone or webcam, and guests can print as many strips as they like for the whole hire. There are three styles. The open booth stands in front of a backdrop – twelve designs are offered at no added cost – and suits bigger groups and wider shots. The enclosed booth is the traditional box, curtained in red or black, with a touch screen and fun filters. It fits up to 10 people and is accessible for wheelchair users. The 360 booth is a small platform with a rotating camera arm that films slow-motion clips, which guests receive straight away to share. Names or branding can be added to every video. Photo strips are designed for each event with names, dates, a logo or theme colours. Packages include props, delivery and set-up, plus a USB of the images and an online album, and the team can walk through the venue beforehand to choose the spot. Wedding couples often add the guest scrapbook, where strips sit beside messages from guests. Low-lying fog, cold spark effects, a roaming photographer and DJs can be booked with a booth. Send an enquiry with the date, venue and preferred booth style for a quote.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a photo booth cost?
Packages are $550 for three hours, $650 for four hours and $750 for five hours, each with unlimited booth use, instant prints, props, custom strips and delivery and set-up. Extra hours are $100 each.
What is the difference between open and enclosed booths?
The open booth uses a backdrop from a choice of twelve and suits large groups. The enclosed booth is a curtained box in red or black that gives guests more privacy, and fits up to 10 people.
How does the 360 booth work?
Guests stand on a small platform while a camera arm circles them and records a slow-motion clip. The video is ready to share within seconds, with an overlay carrying the event names or branding.
Can I add a guest book?
Yes. The guest scrapbook is $50, and an attendant helps guests stick their photo strips in and write a message. Acrylic photo frames are available at $1.50 each.
Are there any extra charges to know about?
Idle time while the booth is set up but not in use is $75 per hour, and a $50 fee applies to carry the booth upstairs unless there is a lift or someone can help with the pieces.
