About M.V. Jasmine

M.V. Jasmine is an 18-metre, two-level boat built for celebrations on the Brunswick River. It leaves from the Brunswick Heads boat harbour and takes up to 70 guests for a cocktail-style party, or about 50 at tables for a sit-down meal. The upper deck is open to the air with a canvas roof that rolls back, and there are booth lounges at the stern and seating at the bow. The interior centres on a long marble-topped bar pouring cocktails, wine and beer on tap, backed by a commercial kitchen with oven, fridges and dishwasher. A skipper, host, bartenders and wait staff look after each charter, and a Void sound system with DJ decks is built in. Private hire covers the whole boat for a minimum of three hours, with cruising times set around the tides. Hosts choose from antipasti, roaming canapés or multi-course set menus from the in-house chefs or partner caterers, then add a tiered drinks package, a bar tab or pay-as-you-go drinks. Resident DJs and live music, including a jazz band, can be added, along with styling, florals and a long custom-built table for seated dinners. The team names birthdays, hens parties, Christmas parties and corporate and brand events among its most common charters. Weddings are a big part of the calendar too, from ceremonies on deck and receptions to engagement parties, welcome dinners and recovery brunches, with an optional planning service for couples who want more help with the run of the day.
