About Silvercat Wedding Cars
Silvercat Wedding Cars, an owner-run vintage fleet based in south-western Sydney, has been taking couples to Southern Highlands weddings since 2012. Owner George handles the bookings and often drives on the day. Its Highlands page lists Bowral, Berrima, Moss Vale, Mittagong, Bundanoon, Robertson and the surrounding villages among the places it covers. The fleet has three cars. The oldest, a 1949 Jaguar MK V, has rear-hinged coach doors, red leather trim, air conditioning and a sunroof, and the larger 1956 Jaguar MK VII seats four or five, which suits the bridesmaids or parents. The silver Porsche 356 Speedster is a two-seat convertible with room for one passenger, often chosen for a groom's arrival, the getaway or photos before the wedding. Every hire comes with a uniformed chauffeur who turns up 15 to 30 minutes ahead of time and a planned run of routes, photo stops and timings. A package can be as simple as one transfer from a Moss Vale church to the reception or cover a whole day across several Highlands locations. The cars also do launches, film and fashion shoots and executive arrivals. In the Jaguar MK V, two hours costs $715 and five hours $1,210, and the Porsche runs $880 for two hours and $1,650 for five. Travel to the Highlands is quoted per car on top of the hire, and a $300 deposit secures the date. Viewings can be arranged before you book, so send an enquiry with your date and venues.
