About Highlands Chauffeured Hire Cars
Highlands Chauffeured Hire Cars is a locally owned chauffeur business run from a depot in Moss Vale. What began as three cars and two buses is now a 13-vehicle fleet the business owns and maintains, still run day to day by the owner and a small office team. Weddings are a big part of the work. Couples can book one wedding car or hand over the whole day: guest pickups from hotels and houses, the run from ceremony to reception, and the trip back at the end of the night. After booking, couples fill in a guest planner and the team builds a personalised schedule for approval. Each driver messages their passengers a few hours before pickup, so last-minute changes never reach the couple. The drivers know Highlands venues such as Mali Brae Farm, Montrose House, Bendooley Estate, Kalinya Estate and Centennial Vineyards. Ceremony and reception at different places can be covered by one vehicle that waits nearby. The Volvo S90 is the most requested wedding car, the Zeekr 7X is a fully electric choice, and the Volvo XC90 and Audi SQ7 add room. Kia Carnivals and a 10-seat bus suit bridal parties, 13- and 24-seat buses handle guest collections, and the 57-seat coach moves large groups from central pickup points. Beyond weddings, the team drives birthdays, anniversaries, school formals, corporate dinners, Christmas parties and private winery days around the Highlands. Pricing
Hourly wedding hire (two-hour minimum) runs from $200 an hour for a van to $450 an hour for the coach. The getaway car is a $300 flat rate, and special occasion hire is from $130.
Fleet & Booking Details
Every booking is private and pre-booked. Send your date, passenger numbers and pickup areas, receive a written quote naming the vehicle category, then pay a 50% deposit to confirm. Hourly hire has a two-hour minimum.
Frequently asked questions
How does the wedding package work?
Each vehicle in the Wedding Package is available for up to two hours ahead of the ceremony and two hours after the reception, counted from when it leaves the Moss Vale depot. Most vehicles can manage two guest runs each way when locations allow.
What does the wedding transport cost?
Wedding Packages run from $650 for a luxury van to $1,450 for the 57-seat coach. Hourly wedding hire starts at $200 an hour with a two-hour minimum, and the Volvo S90 getaway car is a $300 flat rate within the Highlands.
Can the coach collect guests from every property?
No. The 57-seat coach cannot reach every driveway or venue entrance and is limited to eight stops, so it suits central pickup points. Pairing it with a smaller bus covers the harder-to-reach addresses.
What happens if a guest changes plans on the day?
Guests contact their driver or the office directly. A few hours before transport starts, each driver messages their guests to confirm pickup details, so changes and cancellations are handled without interrupting the couple.
What deposit and surcharges apply?
A 50% non-refundable deposit secures the booking and the vehicle is then held for your date. Trips starting from midnight onwards add $100 for each vehicle, public holidays carry an extra charge, and child seats are $10 each.
