About Leah Mitchell Floral Design
Leah Mitchell Floral Design creates wedding flowers and is based in the Illawarra, with a long list of Southern Highlands weddings, including The Stables and the Book Barn at Bendooley Estate, Centennial Vineyards, Montrose House and The Robertson. Leah began working in a florist shop at 14, owned it by 18 and has now spent more than 20 years designing weddings. Her style is romantic and abundant, with full bouquets, lush ceremony arrangements and large reception pieces in a different palette almost every week. She works at The Stables often enough to know how to dress its ceremony ring and tables, and she has styled the lakeside ceremony spot at the Book Barn. Booking starts with a date and venue check, then a consultation in the studio, on Zoom or by phone. You then send through a quote form with your ideas and inspiration photos, receive an itemised quote, and design begins once it is approved. A final consultation a few weeks out confirms the flowers and any styling pieces from the studio range, from vases and candle holders to signs, arbours, wishing wells and easels, which are offered alongside flowers and not as DIY hire. On the day everything is delivered, installed and packed down afterwards. Send an enquiry to book with your date and venue.

Frequently asked questions
Has Leah worked at Southern Highlands venues?
Yes. Her real weddings include The Stables and the Book Barn at Bendooley Estate, Centennial Vineyards, Montrose House and The Robertson, and she works at The Stables often.
Is there a minimum spend?
Full-service wedding florals start at a $5,000 minimum spend. Most couples land somewhere from $6,000 to $10,000, depending on how much is designed.
Do you deliver and set up?
Yes. Every piece is delivered to the places you nominate and installed on the day, then cleared away once the celebration ends.
Is styling hire available?
Yes, as add-ons to a flower order. The range covers vases and glassware, candle holders, signs, arbours, wishing wells and easels, though none of it is available for DIY hire.
Where are consultations held?
In Leah's studio, on Zoom or over the phone, whichever suits you. A final consultation a few weeks before the wedding runs through the flowers and styling.
