About Jamie Forsberg Celebrant
Jamie Forsberg is a civil marriage celebrant living at Tanilba Bay on the Tilligerry Peninsula. Before celebrancy he worked in events management, technology consulting and marketing, and he has spent around three decades playing in live bands. He is closely involved in the local community, from bush fire volunteering to community radio, and he writes ceremonies that mix warmth with plenty of humour. Couples can choose from three wedding styles. The elopement and micro wedding package suits up to 20 guests at a private spot, beach or front garden, with a basic script, custom vows and help with all the legal paperwork. The premium wedding has a fully tailored script with unlimited changes, no limit on guests, two planning meetings, a full rehearsal and the BDM certificate with certified copies. The alternate wedding is for couples who want something out of the ordinary. Jamie has led Viking and medieval ceremonies with sword exchanges, handfasting and mead, rock and roll weddings, Elvis-themed vows, a black-tie 1920s celebration and ceremonies that open with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony by local Elders. Because Jamie is also a musician and MC, he can stay on after the vows to run the formalities, play dinner and dance music as a DJ or perform a solo rock covers set. How much does Jamie Forsberg charge for a wedding ceremony?
The elopement and micro wedding package is $600 for up to 20 guests. Premium and alternate (themed) weddings are $800 each, and a BDM certificate with certified copies can be added to the elopement package for $65.
What is included in the premium wedding package?
The premium wedding includes a fully personalised script with unlimited changes, guidance on all the legal paperwork, no cap on guest numbers, two planning meetings, a full rehearsal, the BDM certificate and certified copies, and travel within a 100 km zone.
Can Jamie run a themed wedding ceremony?
Yes. Jamie has conducted Viking and medieval ceremonies with sword exchanges, handfasting and mead, rock and roll and Elvis-style weddings, a black-tie 1920s wedding, and ceremonies with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony led by Elders.
Can Jamie also be our MC or DJ at the reception?
He can. His full MC package covers a three-hour reception and runs the bridal party entry, speeches, cake cutting and games. He also DJs and plays solo rock covers sets, and MC fees are reduced when you book him for music too.
Where in Port Stephens will Jamie conduct a ceremony?
Jamie is based at Tanilba Bay and marries couples on beaches, at private homes and gardens, and at venues around Port Stephens. The premium package includes a 100 km free travel zone, so most local locations are covered without extra cost.
