About YKnot Cruises
YKnot Cruises has been taking groups out on Port Stephens since May 2000. Its single custom-built catamaran is berthed at Dock C on d'Albora Marina in Nelson Bay, and every trip leaves from there. The style is deliberately low-key: small groups, a skipper who knows the bay well and a crew that keeps things easy rather than loud. For a celebration, the private charter is the option to look at. Your group has the boat to itself, you pick the time and how many hours you want, and the crew will work with you on a route, whether that means open cruising, dropping anchor for a while or heading to a particular corner of the bay. Birthdays, reunions, hens parties and work outings are the groups it hosts most, with space for up to 36 guests. On board there is an open deck with shaded seating, a Bluetooth sound system for your own playlist and a barista making coffee. Drinks are BYO, you can bring your own food or decorations with notice, and ready-made grazing platters can be pre-ordered before you sail. Dogs are welcome on every cruise, which few charter boats allow. Away from private bookings, YKnot also runs a one-hour lunchtime cruise called the Bay Explorer, dolphin-watching trips and sunset cruises, so it is easy to get a feel for the boat before committing to a charter. Send an enquiry through Party Hero with your date, group size and preferred cruise length for a quote.

Where does YKnot Cruises depart from?
Every cruise and charter boards at Dock C on d'Albora Marina, Victoria Parade, Nelson Bay, and stays on the waters of Port Stephens.
How many guests can come on a YKnot private charter?
The catamaran takes up to 36 guests on a private charter, although smaller groups of around a dozen will find it especially roomy and relaxed.
Can we bring our own drinks and food?
Yes. Alcohol is BYO, you can bring your own food or snacks, and ready-made grazing platters can be pre-ordered before the cruise if you would rather not cater yourself.
Can we play our own music and choose where we go?
The boat has a Bluetooth sound system for your own playlist, and the crew will shape the route around your timing and interests, within what the weather and tides allow.
Can we bring our dog on a YKnot charter?
Yes. All YKnot Cruises trips are pet-friendly, including private charters and hens party cruises, so a well-behaved dog can join the celebration on deck.
