About Quad Bike King
Quad Bike King has been running guided quad bike safaris on Stockton Beach since 2009. Riders head out on 350cc Yamaha Grizzly bikes over more than 20 kilometres of beach, dune ridges and wide sandy flats, and the route changes with the conditions rather than following a set track. The whole outing takes about an hour and 45 minutes. A 4WD carries the group through bush tracks to the beach and back, around 15 minutes each way, and there is a 15-minute training session before an hour of guided riding. Nobody needs to have ridden before. Guides watch each rider during training, then place them in a cruiser, intermediate or thrill-seeker group, with up to six riders for every guide. The team takes group bookings for birthdays, including 21st, 30th and 40th celebrations, as well as hens and bucks parties and corporate team building days. Groups of all sizes are handled, with large teams split into smaller riding groups, and group discounts and custom packages are available. Morning and afternoon tours run on most days of the year, in rain or shine, with wet weather gear provided when needed. Send an enquiry to ask about group rates and a date for your party or team.

Frequently asked questions
Can we book a group ride for a birthday, hens or bucks party?
Yes. Birthday groups, hens and bucks parties and corporate teams all book the safari, from small groups of half a dozen to parties of 30 or more. Group discounts and custom packages are available, so send an enquiry with your numbers.
Who can ride, and is there a minimum age?
Riders must be at least 16 and 130cm tall, and every rider drives their own bike, as doubling is not allowed. Riders aged 16 and 17 need photo ID and a parent or guardian present, and their speed is capped at 20km/h.
How long does the tour take?
Allow about an hour and 45 minutes in total. That covers roughly 15 minutes each way by 4WD through bush tracks, 15 minutes of safety training and an hour of guided riding on the beach and dunes.
We have nervous riders in the group. Will they keep up?
Guides assess everyone during training and split the group into cruiser, intermediate and thrill-seeker speed groups. Slower groups ride at an easy pace, while confident riders can reach up to 40km/h on open beach sections.
What happens if the weather turns bad, or we need to cancel?
Tours run in rain and wind, with waterproof gear supplied when needed, and only stop if conditions are judged unsafe. Cancelling more than 48 hours ahead earns a full refund, and rescheduling with 24 hours' notice costs $25 for each rider.
