About Tractorless Vineyard
Tractorless Vineyard is a regenerative farm and winery on Compton Park Road in Berrima. Winemaker Jeff Aston brings more than 27 years of experience, including time making wine in Georgia. The name comes from the approach: sheep graze the rows instead of tractors, and biodynamic principles guide the vineyard. The farm also raises Hampshire Down lamb, grass-fed beef and free-range pork alongside its vegetables. The cellar door is a vineyard shed with chalk drawings on the walls and gas heaters for colder days. Tastings are free and take in Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and a Shiraz Cabernet, as well as less common grapes such as Saperavi, Nebbiolo and Aleatico Moscato. Local ciders, beers and a small farm shop round out the visit, and Jeff is happy to chat when he is on site. For businesses, the team builds tailored food and wine experiences for strategy days, team-building retreats, client gatherings and leadership workshops, teaming up with local chefs and producers. A hands-on winemaking class lets staff create a wine of their own, and guided private tastings can also be brought to your own venue. The shed opens on Fridays and Saturdays, and other days can be arranged by booking. Send an enquiry with your group size and plans.

What corporate experiences does Tractorless Vineyard run?
The team designs tailored days for strategy sessions, team-building retreats, client events and leadership workshops, combining its wines with farm produce and local chefs.
What happens in a winemaking class?
It is a hands-on team session led by Jeff Aston and the Tractorless crew, where the group works together to create its own wine and learns how the vineyard's styles are made.
Is there a charge for a cellar door tasting?
Tastings at the vineyard shed are free. Booking ahead is a good idea, and pricing for tailored corporate days and classes is quoted on enquiry.
When is the cellar door open?
The shed opens Friday and Saturday from 11am until 3pm, and the final tasting is poured at 2pm. On other days the team is happy to open for groups that book ahead.
Can the tasting come to us instead?
Yes. Tractorless offers guided private tastings at your own venue, covering its cool-climate wines, unusual varieties and how regenerative growing shapes each bottle.
