About Green Door Studios
Green Door Studios is a workshop space and store on a few leafy acres in Robertson. Zoe, who created the studio, brings artists and makers in to teach painting, drawing, embroidery, textiles and other crafts, and its dark walls are covered in colourful art and textiles. Groups can book a private session of their own. For workplaces, the studio puts together creative workshops designed for team building, a planning day away from the office or a chance to celebrate with colleagues. Other private groups have booked too. One party of eight on a weekend away asked for a tailored half-day and chose loom weaving with a visiting weaver, from options that included felt hats and still life drawing, with food and bubbles served while they worked. Zoe matches the workshop to the group's experience, the hours available and the budget, so there is no set menu of packages. Everyone works at shared tables with the materials provided and leaves with something they made. Inside, The Green Door Store sells art and craft supplies, accessories, homewares and Erstwilder brooches. To plan a private workshop, send an enquiry with your group size and preferred date.

Frequently asked questions
What kinds of workshops can a private group book?
Private sessions are designed for each group. Ideas the studio has put forward include loom weaving, felt hat making and still life drawing, and its public calendar covers painting, embroidery, textile collage and miniature making.
Do we need any craft experience?
No. The studio shapes a private workshop around the skill level of your group, and one group that booked described themselves as having no craft skills at all before their weaving session.
How much does a private or corporate workshop cost?
There is no fixed group rate. Each private workshop is tailored to your numbers, the time you have and your budget, so send an enquiry with your details to get a quote.
Is food included?
Public one-day workshops include morning tea and lunch, and a private group that booked a half-day weaving session was served food and bubbles. Confirm catering for your own group when you enquire.
Can the studio host a team building day?
Yes. Green Door Studios runs tailored creative workshops for workplaces, aimed at team building, brainstorming sessions or simply celebrating together in a relaxed studio setting on acreage in Robertson.
