About Shakers on Wheels
Shakers on Wheels runs mobile cocktail bars and drinks catering from its Melbourne base. They bring a bar, RSA-accredited mixologists and a menu built for your event to homes, marquees, offices and function spaces, then pack everything away at the end of the night. There are four ways to run the bar. The Open Bar is charged per person for a set time with unlimited access to your menu, the Dry Bar has you supplying the drinks, the Bar Tab charges only for what guests drink plus a service fee, and the Cash Bar has guests buying their own against an agreed minimum spend. Every package covers the bar, bartenders, a personalised menu, glassware, shakers and other tools, ice and garnishes, and the team builds and dismantles the bar before and after your booked hours. Menus usually run to four to six cocktails, from citrus sours to stirred classics and spritzes, always with an alcohol-free choice. For the look of the bar, pick a purpose-built bar, a cart or Marty, a restored vintage caravan with two beer taps, a double fridge and simple styling. Extras include champagne and cocktail towers, a cocktail fountain, a brass tap bar pouring over dry ice, cocktail buffets and personalised bottled cocktails as guest gifts. The team also runs two-hour cocktail making classes at your home or office.

Do we need to supply the alcohol?
Only if you want to. Drinks come with both the Open Bar and the Bar Tab, while on the Dry Bar you buy the alcohol and Shakers on Wheels supplying the bar, staff, glassware, ice and garnishes.
How much does a Shakers on Wheels bar cost?
Each event is quoted on guest numbers, service length, menu, set-up and location, with travel shown as its own line. Paying a deposit holds your date, with the rest settled ahead of the event.
How many bartenders will our party need?
It depends on guest numbers and how cocktail-heavy the menu is. As a guide, a party of around 60 guests typically needs two bartenders, and larger events also get a bar supervisor.
Can the vintage caravan bar go anywhere?
The caravan has to be driven in and parked on solid, fairly flat ground, so lawns, courtyards, driveways and open venue spaces are ideal. Send a photo of your spot with your enquiry and the team will confirm it works.
Is there a cocktail class option for groups?
Yes. The mobile cocktail making class runs for two hours for 15 to 50 adults at your home or office, at $75 per person, with one cocktail made for you on arrival and three you make yourselves.
