About Radio All-Stars Entertainment
Mike James runs Radio All-Stars Entertainment, a mobile DJ business based in Newcastle, and doubles as a commercial radio station's in-house DJ, producing breakfast and talk shows there too. His own site lists school discos at Cessnock, Kurri Kurri, Branxton, Maitland, Morpeth, Singleton and Broke public schools, so Hunter Valley bookings are familiar ground. Mike began as a mobile disco DJ in the late 1980s, spent years as a nightclub resident and launched Radio All-Stars in 2019. Rock old and new, pop, retro, disco, R&B, house, EDM, mashups, Triple J alternative, country, metal, Latin, Arabic and Bollywood are all in the library. One review mentions quiet music over dinner followed by 60s, 70s and 80s hits that filled the floor. Weddings, engagements, milestone birthdays from 16ths to 60ths, Christmas functions, presentation nights, school discos and Year 6 farewells all appear on the booking calendar. The team can also supply AV hire and event support, and it is insured, first-aid trained and holds Working With Children checks. Each quote arrives in writing by email, setting out the full event details and naming the DJ for your night. Paying one third up front confirms the booking and that fee cannot be refunded, while the remaining two thirds is paid 20 business days ahead. A stair fee applies if gear has to be carried up a floor.

Frequently asked questions
Does Radio All-Stars play Hunter Valley events?
Yes. Their site lists school discos across Cessnock, Kurri Kurri, Branxton, Maitland, Morpeth, Singleton and Broke, and weddings and private parties in the area are quoted the same way as any other event.
Who will DJ our event?
The quote names the DJ allocated to your night. Mike James plays many bookings himself, and the others go to experienced team members he works with regularly.
How much does a DJ cost?
Packages start from $275, and each event is then quoted on its date, hours, venue and access. Supplying a generator for an outdoor event can bring the price down.
How do we lock in the date?
Pay a third of the quoted price to hold the date, and note that this fee cannot be refunded. The balance falls due 20 business days ahead of the event.
Are school discos and Year 6 farewells covered?
Yes. Year 6 farewells and discos for every age from kindergarten up to Year 12 are a regular part of the work, with Working With Children checks held by the team.
