About McKenzie House
McKenzie House is a 1916 building in the centre of Healesville, once a grocer and grain store and later the home and booking office of McKenzies Tourist Services. It has stayed in the McKenzie family and is now let as a whole-house stay, a natural fit for couples and families coming together for a Yarra Valley wedding or a milestone birthday. There are four bedrooms, each with a king bed, so the house sleeps up to eight – a good match for four couples sharing. Two bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, a library and a cosy living room with an open gas fire give the group space to spread out, and period features sit alongside designer furnishings. Heating, air conditioning, privacy blinds and a TV with a Blu-ray player are provided. The house sits on Healesville's main street, with a patio overlooking it and a bus stop at the front door. Car spaces are provided, and the RACV Club, the TarraWarra art gallery, Rochford's concerts and local wineries are all within easy reach for wedding guests and day trips. A book in the house tells the story of the McKenzie family's tour business for guests who enjoy local history.
