Choosing a House for Your Group

Healesville's whole-house stays let a wedding party or a family get ready, eat and unwind under one roof. They range from a restored 1916 building on the main street to a pair of villas set up high for the mountain outlook.

Rates for these four houses come on request, so give the hosts your group size and nights. Gracemont welcomes wedding-morning preparations by prior arrangement, but ceremonies, receptions and parties cannot be held there.

Choosing a house by group size:

  • Six guests – Gracemont is a three-bedroom Victorian cottage with two queens and extra-long twins the host can make up as a king
  • Six per house, several houses – Yarra Gables has four detached three-bedroom houses: the Villa, the Cottage, Cottage Two and the Lodge
  • Eight guests – McKenzie House has four bedrooms, each with a king bed, plus two bathrooms and a lounge with an open gas fire
  • Up to twelve – Healesvillas pairs two matching villas, Pandora and Jacquina, each sleeping six, side by side behind a shared driveway
  • Mixed groups – Yarra Gables' motel rooms, including spa and family rooms, can be booked alongside its houses

Common Questions About Group Holiday Rentals

Which Healesville house sleeps the most people on one booking?

Healesvillas takes up to twelve when both villas are booked together. McKenzie House sleeps eight across four king bedrooms, while Gracemont and each Yarra Gables house sleep six.

Can we hold the reception or a party at the house?

Not at Gracemont, where ceremonies, receptions and parties cannot be held on site. Check each host's house rules when you send an enquiry, and keep the celebration itself at your venue.

Is there a house right in the middle of Healesville?

McKenzie House is on Healesville's main street, a former grocer and grain store from 1916 that later housed the McKenzie family's tour business. Healesvillas is also close to the main street.

Are these houses set up for children?

Gracemont has enclosed gardens, a cubby house, a highchair and a cot or trundle bed on request. Healesvillas provides cots and high chairs on request, and Yarra Gables has family motel rooms beside its houses.
