About Lilly's Face Painting
Lilly's Face Painting is a Melbourne children's entertainment business built around Fairy Lilly, a character created by a former early childhood educator with more than a decade of experience working with young children. She arrives at the party in fairy wings, sprinkling fairy dust and telling stories of fairy lands, then leads the children through puppetry, dancing, singing and games. Face painting sits at the centre of most bookings. Children choose from a picture board of designs – pirates, superheroes, animals, fairies and princesses – and each design is painted with professional paints that meet FDA standards, plus cosmetic-grade glitter and gems. Around 10 full-face designs or up to 15 quicker cheek and arm designs can be painted in an hour. Glitter tattoos are a popular add-on for older kids, with more than 40 designs and a choice of glitter colours. They are waterproof, last about five to seven days and lift off with a little olive oil or face cream. Balloon twisting is another option, with penguins, dogs, ladybugs, flower bracelets, wands, swords and light sabres made in front of the children. Fairy parties are the speciality, though other characters are available too. Hygiene is taken seriously, with brushes rinsed often in a sterile solution, and Lilly holds a Working with Children card and public liability insurance to $20 million. How is a booking secured?
A $50 deposit holds the date. The balance can be paid by direct deposit a week before the party or in cash on the day. Spring and early summer are the busiest months, so enquire early.
