About Alpine Hotel Warburton
The Alpine Hotel Warburton is a heritage-listed pub dating from 1885, run by local owners Rachael and Anthony Northwood. Its 32 guest rooms sit upstairs, above a bistro, public bar, lounge and beer garden that stay open seven days a week. There are five room styles. Solo rooms come with shared or ensuite bathrooms, couples can pick a queen ensuite or a larger riverview ensuite, twin shares have king singles, and family layouts include bunks. Each room is different in character, and some look out over the river while others face the glass-roofed atrium. A cooked breakfast buffet runs on weekend mornings, and midweek guests can use a shared kitchenette. For wedding and event visitors, the draw is having the celebration and the beds under one roof. The hotel hosts receptions in its Hotel Dining Room, Atrium and Courtyard, and its team can arrange blocks of rooms for a whole guest list. Birthdays, group dinners and work functions use the Bistro, Private Dining Room and Beer Garden. Off-street parking is available, and guests without a car can take the train to Lilydale and the 683 bus towards Warburton. The Warburton Trail, rainforest walks and the river are all on the doorstep for the morning after.

Frequently asked questions
Can wedding guests stay at the hotel where the reception is held?
Yes. The Alpine runs wedding receptions in its heritage dining spaces and can hold blocks of its 32 rooms for your guest list. Ask about accommodation availability when you enquire about your date.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am. Reception is staffed from midday to 9pm, and the team will try to help if you need to arrive early or leave late.
Is there parking for guests?
Yes. There is off-street parking on site and street parking nearby, though the car park is shared with pub visitors rather than kept for room guests only.
Are children and families welcome?
Yes. Children can stay as long as an adult supervises them at all times, and family rooms come with bunks. The weekend breakfast buffet has a children's price for ages 3 to 10.
Can we get there without a car?
Yes. Take the train to Lilydale, then the 683 bus towards Warburton, which runs along the highway past the hotel.
