About Hunter Moon Country House
Hunter Moon Country House is a private estate of 25 acres in the Broke Fordwich area, designed for large groups who want to be together without living on top of each other. It suits an extended family in town for a wedding, friends marking a 40th or 50th, or a team retreat. Wildlife is part of the setting, from birdlife to kangaroos and wombats, and a private creek runs along the far side of the paddock. The full estate has eight bedrooms and six bathrooms and sleeps up to 22. Every room has a king bed. The Frida Kahlo Room is the largest, with two king singles and an ensuite, for up to four. Moon, Azure and Rose take two each; Mandarin takes three. The three verandah rooms, Palm, Cockatoo and Gumnut, each take three and have ensuites, and Palm has a disabled-friendly bathroom and access. Smaller groups can book Hunter Moon House on its own, which is five bedrooms and three bathrooms without the verandah rooms. The main house bathrooms include one with a full bath and rainfall shower, and a washer and dryer. Shared spaces are built around the group. The kitchen and indoor dining area are fully equipped for cooking together, and the deck opens straight from inside for outdoor meals, with a jacuzzi just beyond. A separate lounge with a smart TV, Chromecast, Xbox and board games offers a quieter retreat, and the fire pit is where evenings tend to end up.
