About Wine Country Villas
Wine Country Villas is a small, owner-run collection of self-contained stays on 25 acres of Australian bush at Pokolbin. There are nine in all: one-bedroom villas for couples, two-bedroom villas for families, and the three-bedroom Wine Country House for a bigger group. For a wedding or a milestone birthday weekend, that mix lets grandparents take a quiet one-bed villa while the rest of the family shares a larger unit a few steps away. The villas run over two levels, with the lounge and a full kitchen downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs. A one-bed villa has a king bed and takes two guests at most. A two-bed villa pairs a king with a double, holds up to five and can add a fold-out lounge on request. The house has two king rooms (one can be made up as two king singles), a queen room, two bathrooms, two living areas and a balcony with dining table, BBQ and a large swim spa, and it sleeps eight. Every stay includes breakfast supplies to cook when you like, such as bacon, eggs, juice and bread, along with pod coffee, toiletries, wifi, reverse-cycle air conditioning and a slow-combustion wood fire. The property is on Thompsons Road, just off McDonalds Road and close to Cypress Lakes Golf Course. Hope Estate, which hosts concerts and events, is about three minutes away, and Harrigan's, Hunter Valley Gardens, Tamburlaine, Draytons, McGuigans, Lindemans and Tempus Two are all nearby. Each villa has room for two family-sized cars. The nearest train station is Morisset, with local taxis available to the door, and guests share a pool that is open from 8am to 8pm.
