About Harry the Hirer
Harry the Hirer started as a small family business pitching marquees and fitting out private parties, and has grown into a large event hire company with its showroom and studio in Abbotsford and a warehouse in Brooklyn. Everything in the range is hire only, so the stock is built to last and kept in event condition. The furniture side is the heart of the business: chairs and bar stools in velvet, boucle and metal finishes, modular lounges, cocktail and dining tables, service bars, linen and tableware, plus styling pieces that suit a garden wedding as easily as a launch party. The collections change each year, and the photos show full rooms styled in bold colour palettes as well as softer, neutral looks. For outdoor and larger functions the team supplies marquees and pop-up structures, including clear-span marquees, pagodas and glass-walled pavilions with high ceilings. A production division handles lighting, audio, LED screens, rigging and power with its own technicians, and an in-house print and fabrication team produces signage, branded walls and custom builds. Every job is quoted to suit: item rates cover a hire term of one to three days, and delivery and labour are priced on location, timing and order size. There is no minimum order, so a few lounge pieces for a birthday at home are handled as readily as a full gala fit-out. Send an enquiry to book, or visit the Abbotsford showroom to see settings in person.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a minimum order with Harry the Hirer?
No. Small orders are welcome, so you can hire a handful of lounge pieces or bar stools for a home party as well as fitting out a large function.
How long is a standard hire period?
Listed hire rates cover one hire term of one to three days. Longer hires can be discussed when you enquire, and the team will quote accordingly.
Are delivery and setup included in the hire price?
No. Delivery and labour are quoted separately for each job, based on the location, the delivery and collection window, the size of the order and the type of product.
Can we see the furniture before we book?
Yes. The Abbotsford showroom has two levels of furniture, bar and production settings on display, and its range of styled setups is changed regularly.
Do they supply marquees and lighting as well as furniture?
Yes. The range includes marquees, pagodas and glass-walled structures, and a production team supplies lighting, audio, LED screens, rigging and power with technicians.

Gilbert and the team did a great job organising and setting up our custom stand at the Collision Repair Expo! Would recommend.

Probably great service, genuinely baffled at seeing a Harry the Hirer trundle through royal park at 8am. Definitely was way off of any road in sight. Surely the route wasn’t that cooked
