About Ironstone Estate
Ironstone Estate is a 45-acre boutique vineyard in Lovedale, run by one family, with three large self-contained houses spread far enough apart for privacy but close enough to walk between. That layout suits a wedding weekend well, with the bride's party, the groom's party and the family each getting a house of their own. It works just as well for a 50th, a family reunion, a hens weekend or a work retreat, and the estate can host events of up to 50 people. The Homestead takes up to 16 guests across five bedrooms and three bathrooms, with a private pool, a 10-person hot tub, a games room, kids playground, pizza oven and fire pit. The Lodge sleeps 14 in six bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, and includes an accessible room and bathroom, a big open fireplace and a large open-plan kitchen and living area. The Residence also sleeps 14 in six bedrooms, with a pool, hot tub, fire pit and outdoor entertaining area. Book all three and the group has room for 40, with full kitchens, coffee machines, air conditioning, wifi and smart TVs throughout. For celebrations, there are no exclusive catering partners, so food trucks, a spit roast or a private chef are all options, and drinks are BYO apart from wine, which comes from the estate's own small-batch range. Pets can come on request. The vineyard sits next to Pokolbin, close to the wineries and restaurants there, Cessnock's shops, Hope Estate and Hunter Valley Gardens.

How many guests can stay at Ironstone Estate?
Up to 40 when all three houses are booked. The Homestead takes up to 16, and The Lodge and The Residence take up to 14 each.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, each house has a two-night minimum. Wedding and event bookings include two nights of accommodation, with the option to stay longer.
Can we hold a wedding or party on the property?
Yes. The estate hosts events of up to 50 people. There are no exclusive caterers, so you can bring food trucks, a spit roast or any supplier you like, and drinks are BYO except wine, which is from Ironstone Estate's own range.
Are hens groups welcome?
Yes. Hens parties are on the estate's own list of celebrations it hosts, alongside engagement parties, birthdays from 21sts to 100ths, golf days and staff retreats.
How close is it to the wineries?
The estate is in Lovedale next to Pokolbin, with Pokolbin's wineries and restaurants, Hope Estate, Hunter Valley Gardens and Cessnock's shops all a short drive away. Its neighbour Allandale Winery turns the estate's grapes into wine.
