About Casa La Vina

Casa La Vina is a small adults-only property in Pokolbin made up of three freestanding villas and one studio room, all styled after the adobe architecture of the American South West, with exposed log ceilings and rustic furnishings. It is set up for couples rather than groups, so it suits two people travelling in for a wedding, an anniversary or a milestone birthday who want somewhere quiet to come back to. The property does not host weddings or functions and does not allow outside visitors, which keeps the grounds peaceful. Each of the three spa villas sleeps two in a king bed and has its own walled courtyard with an outdoor spa, an outdoor fireplace, a gas BBQ and an outdoor dining setting. Inside there is a gas log fire, a spacious ensuite, a smart TV, a Bluetooth speaker, Starlink wifi and a granite kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and Nespresso machine; the BBQ is the only way to cook. Spa Villa Three adds a walk-in double shower and a lock-up garage. The Studio Room is a simpler option with a king bed, ensuite, a kitchenette with no cooking facilities and a verandah facing the central courtyard and fountain. The owners say Hunter Valley Gardens, the area's major concert venues and wineries including Hope, Roche and Bimbadgen Estates are all within about five minutes' drive. Arrival is by keyless self check-in, with each villa having a carport or parking space. There is no reception office, so deliveries and early bag drops can't be accepted, and electric vehicles can't be charged on site; the Tesla Superchargers at Pokolbin Village are roughly four minutes away by car.

Casa La Vina doesn't publish nightly rates on its site; prices depend on the villa, the dates and the length of stay, and appear when you check availability through the online booking system. Quoted prices include GST. One night's tariff is taken as a non-refundable deposit to confirm a reservation, the balance is charged 28 days before arrival, and a card pre-authorisation of up to $200 is taken one day before check-in. Gift vouchers are sold online and are valid for three years.

Check-in is from 3pm with no early arrivals, and check-out is 10am, using keyless self check-in. Each spa villa has a king bed, ensuite with bathrobes and botanical toiletries, gas log fire, outdoor spa, outdoor fireplace, gas BBQ, kitchenette with dishwasher and microwave, smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, Starlink wifi, reverse cycle air conditioning and a carport, plus a complimentary bottle of local wine. The outdoor fireplaces are switched off through the warmer months and are subject to fire bans. Guests must be 18 or over, no visitors are allowed, pets are not permitted, smoking inside is prohibited and EV charging on site is not allowed. Minimum stays apply throughout the year, and a cleaning or damage fee can be charged if a villa is left in poor condition.
